Fakten Fitz and The Tantrums are a neo-soul group from Los Angeles formed in 2008 by Michael Fitzpatrick after acquiring a vintage electric organ and unexpectedly writing a slew of spontaneous yet inspired songs with the keyboard. Fitzpatrick contacted his college friend and saxophone player James King about joining the band and the full roster was pieced together shortly thereafter. Over the years Fitz and The Tantrums have developed and continually refined a unique sound blending contemporary pop production aesthetics with the songwriting sensibilities of classic soul and R&B music.
