Gluttony - Drogulus (Gold Coloured Vinyl LP)

When the pandemic hit, the world was thrown into chaos. Following the cancellation of their tour, Gluttony instead started writing for their third album. Given the darkness and depression washing over the world, Magnus and Anders felt that the chaotic universe of H.P. Lovecraft would be a fitting theme.

The album was baptized DROGULUS which means "Something that exists but whose existence cannot be verified because it is completely intangible" - a description often used by Lovecraft to describe his unworldly beings.

For the vocals, Magnus choose a style more similar to CARCASS and his black metal roots, as the album reeked of a dark evil that only such screams could conjure forth.

Drogulus was recorded in Studio Blastbeat but mixed and mastered in LV5 Studios by Jonas Jönsson (CARNAL SAVAGERY, SARKOM). The cover artwork was created by Karmazid, oozes of old 70s horror, and depicts an impossible monster rising from the dark seas.

It was released on gold vinyl by Gravework Media in 2023, and on CD by Bestial Invasion.
