Klazz Brothers & Cuba Percussi - Beethoven Meets Cuba

Fakten Following on from the global success of their album "Mozart meets Cuba", which was one of the best-selling albums marking Mozart's 250th birthday, the Klazz Brothers & Cuba Percussion have dedicated their twelfth album entirely to Ludwig van Beethoven, whose 250th birthday will be celebrated across the world of classical music in 2020.

Beethoven's oeuvre seems so compact and so inherently cohesive, giving the impression that nothing more could be added to it. Yet on its very first album "Classic meets Cuba" the quintet demonstrated by means of a movement from the "Pathétique" Sonata that it is altogether feasible to skilfully meld Beethoven's music with Cuban rhythms, and over the years their ensuing successful albums have featured other similar arrangements.
