Fakten Originally released in 2016, Prag 83’s “Metamorphoses" now returns for the first time on vinyl. Musically rooted in dark folk yet shaped by something far more contemplative, “Metamorphoses" occupies a space between the gloom of “Discouraged Ones"-era Katatonia and the earthbound austerity of Lönndom. Sparse, rugged, and unembellished, its sound carries a lingering weight – closer to a state of mind than a conventional musical expression. Echoes of Kafkan introspection run throughout: a world where change offers no relief, only a deeper awareness of the void. There is no catharsis here, no guiding light – only a stark reflection of the inner landscape where melancholy and understanding coexist.
