Scum - Purple Dreams & Magic Poems (CD)

Fakten Overshadowed for far too long, “Purple Dreams & Magic Poems" is one of Finnish melodic Death Metal’s hidden gems. While many of their contemporaries moved towards cleaner, more commercial territory, Scum refined a sound of their own. Heavy, deliberate riffs meet soaring melodies, dark atmosphere and subtle progressive touches, creating an album that feels just as powerful today as it did upon its original release. Driven by the unmistakable growls of P.T. Askola and a collection of consistently strong songs, “Purple Dreams & Magic Poems" balances weight, melody and emotion without sacrificing its Death Metal roots.
